Between the three of us, we have worked
about 90 years. And, in that time we have experienced
a variety of work situations.
We've worked in retail and wholesale outfits,
large corporations, small entrepreneurial companies, the
US government, high volume kitchens, schools and in our
homes, raising our children.
We have studied, left behind what we studied, taken many
jobs and left many jobs, married and in some cases, left
marriages.

Like many folks, we three friends, have made many life changes
in hopes of experiencing more quality in our lives. We asked,
'How can we do better and how can we enjoy ourselves more?"
In the midst of our searching, trying and changing, we experienced
an impulse to start Arbolis Trading Company. We had the common
awareness that few manufacturers make products that uplift the
consumer; products that improve our lives in some way.
Our mission became to find and distribute such products.
Several years prior to the start of Arbolis, Tracy felt drawn
to sell the Phosphorus Alights products. (Phosphorus Alights
is the young entertainment company that provides us with the
CDs, VHS and DVD that we sell).
Selling these products was in addition to Tracy's full time
job in administrative work for a very busy plumbing outfit in
Los Angeles.
Anita and David joined her in 2005. So, Tracy's original endeavor
grew, added people and product and became Arbolis.
When David got on board, he introduced the book, A Tale of
Two Kitties, which he discovered in a gardening store in Mystic
CT. He was by no means "searching for an Arbolis product".
He happened upon it...
David's full time job is in sales for a successful moving company
in New Jersey.
Anita's full time job is customer service and sales for a metal
pen clip company. She found that it impossible to refer customers
to distributors that sell quality pencil clip in small quantities.
Thus, we began the pencil clip adventure, with the purpose of
selling small amounts to the consumer.
In the summer of 2005 we three friends got together in Los
Angeles to see how to proceed. How do we take Arbolis from the
seeds of the company to getting it to sprout?
David, who lives in Hackensack, New Jersey and Anita, a short
distance away in Maywood, New Jersey flew to meet with Tracy,
in Los Angeles, California.
We spent a long weekend together, coming to resolution on how
to set up Arbolis.
We bring different skills and knowledge to Arbolis, and what
responsibilities we each have taken on reflects our individual
background. We found we are a good blend, pooling our talents
to make a whole.
During the many hours of conversation about many kinds of
products, questions such as these were posed:
How often do people see a movie and say "that was a great
movie, and I feel inspired"? Or how many books have people
read or have read to their children that "spoke to them",
reached them in a way that moved them to change?
And, how many products out there are great to use; give you
a lift; encourage you consider doing something you never did
before;
The answer was that there are not too many products such as
these that exist on the market.
All the Arbolis products can uplift in some way.
It can be a simple thing, like using a #2 pencil clip, so you
know where your pencil is when you need it. Thus, you are getting
organized.
It can be an overall change you are inspired to make; like taking
a new approach to how you relate or what work you do and how
you do it upon your viewing the movie, The Empiricist or reading
the book, Finding Contentment.
And, as you can see from our endorsements, at least one of
us, if not all three
find our products worthwhile.
At Arbolis, we are enjoying our adventure in creating this
company. Knowing we have products such as these makes them a
pleasure to sell. Reaching all decisions based on accord, rather
than compromise, makes it an enlightening experience; something
new is encountered all the time. Taking new approaches by trial
and error when we reach a dead end is very freeing. We three
tended to be self critical. However, when an error is made and
seen as just "time for a new way" to be discovered,
it is just an opportunity, not a drag.
In working to our maximum, rather than "dead lining"
ourselves, we feel open to explore the possibilities in reaching
a result.
All this makes it very fun to be a part of Arbolis.
We hope that those in whom we have contact, from consumers
who purchase the products to our vendors to our salespeople
who will join us, will all feel they are better off from having
had contact with Arbolis.
Besides having full time jobs, and in the case of Anita and
Tracy, being moms, we all sell our products "door to door"
so to speak. We go out and sell in what has been termed the
"wagon wheel" style. Starting at a particular destination
and branching out, like spokes on a wheel, we sell our products
to any individual or store that may be interested. This has
proven to be a fruitful process. We get first hand feedback
from people regarding what they like and don't like and why.
As we go on our sales rounds, we incorporate what we hear.
And, we hope to hear from you via this website. Please tell
us your comments on our products and products that might not
exist, but you have a need for. We hope to bring products from
the idea stage through to manufacture and distribution in cases
when "it's just not out there".
We thank you for your interest in Arbolis Trading Company.
Be well,
Anita, David and Tracy
