I own a floor lamp and a desk lamp made by this company. I see
better reading while using the lamps with their bright white
lighting.

Golden Eagle in Fayette, Alabama, a company that has made one
product for 78 years, “a blend of corn syrup, cane sugar
syrup, cane molasses, and pure honey.” The syrup is light
and very sweet. Instead of sugar, you can use it in tea or coffee.
The Web site gives several recipes using the syrup, including,
pies, beans, ham glaze, and sauces. Golden Eagle is the most
flavorful syrup I’ve ever tasted.

Ten months ago I bought a set of Assurance tires, a triple thread
product made by Goodyear. I drive an average of 600 miles a
week, and after 30,000 miles, the tires show no sign of thread
wear. Also, I experience improved handling and traction with
the Assurance tires.
Movies
“The Gospel of John” – is a 3 hour
movie that is “word for word based on the Good News Bible
translation of the American Bible Society.” It is an inspiring
movie, made in a realistic style; a movie very different from
Hollywood epics.
“Nothing but a Man” – set in Alabama
in 1963, the movie is the story of a black man who refuses to
compromise.
“Home Town Story” – a movie known
for featuring Marilyn Monroe in an early role, but it tells
a strong story of a man determined to follow an agenda.
Music
“Two Classic Albums from Keely Smith” –
a CD featuring a collection of 24 American standards performed
by Keely Smith. She sings in a smoky voice and entertains the
listener with her fresh take on lounge tunes, such as “Cocktails
for Two.”
“Dreamland” – Madeline Peyroux’s
debut CD covers a variety of songs ranging from “Walkin’
After Midnight” (quite a contrast to Patsy Cline’s
version) to “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write
Myself a Letter.” Madeline Peyroux sings in a voice that
reminds you of Billie Holiday.
“Wildwood Flower” – is the last recording
of June Carter Cash. The CD is country music performed in a simple,
yet authentic style. June Carter Cash sings autobiographical songs
about her childhood, early days as a performer, and her decades
with Johnny Cash.
